Roll-A-Comic: Workshop from A2CAF 2025

This weekend I led a workshop at the Ann Arbor Comic Arts Fair 2025, in Ann Arbor Michigan! It was an absolute blast—and whether you were in attendance or not, I wanted to share all the materials from that activity.

We did a Roll-A-Comic, which was an adapted version of my Roll-a-Character lesson (which you can find here on my site as well.)

I presented some slides that introduced some basic comics building blocks and terminology:

After that, we got moving! I provided three printed worksheets: a comics cheat sheet for everyone, and adapted versions of the activity for either all ages, or those with more experience.

I’ve also included a blank version, so you can build your own!
